Hyundai Technology - FAQ
Hyundai Technology - FAQ
If you've bought a new Hyundai vehicle from our new inventory at Stratford Hyundai and are wondering about its innovative technology features, we're here to answer some of your technology-related questions.
1. What is Android Auto™?
Android Auto mirrors your Android phone and projects apps and services to the infotainment screen in your Hyundai. You can use all the same functions on your phone but control them from your car through the touch screen or steering-wheel-mounted controls if available on your vehicle. It's designed to make using your phone safer and makes it easier to get the information you need when you're on the road.
2. What Phones Work with Apple CarPlay™?
Apple CarPlay is similar to Android Auto, but for Apple smartphones. Apple CarPlay™ works with iPhone 5® and later models running the iOS 7.1 or higher operating systems. Trade in your old vehicle for a new one with all the latest technology features, including Apple CarPlay.
3. How Do I Connect My Android™ Phone with My Hyundai to Start Using Android Auto™?
While you're parked, launch Android Auto on the display screen in your Hyundai. Make sure your phone is unlocked, and Bluetooth is on. You'll need to use the USB cable when connecting your phone for the first time. When prompted, hit accept to allow Android Auto™ permissions. Your phone may have you update select apps for compatibility with the vehicle. Now you're connected!
4. What is the Bluelink App?
The Bluelink app connects you to your Hyundai vehicle through your smartphone. You can remote start your vehicle, remotely activate the horn and lights, remotely unlock/lock your vehicle, remotely adjust climate controls, and keep track of your vehicle's health with smart diagnostic tools. If your Bluelink app vehicle diagnostics indicate it needs maintenance, visit our expert Service Centre in Stratford, Ontario, for a full assessment.
5. What Is Car Finder and How Do You Use This Feature?
The Car Finder feature allows you to locate your vehicle on the map if you're within 1.5 kilometres of it. You can also save your vehicle's location on the map so you never forget where you parked again. To use Car Finder, you must have a subscription to the Bluelink app.
6. Where Can I Update My Maps?
For built-in navigation and maps on your Hyundai, you can purchase maps from MapnSoft's website. Maps' updates will be available to you when they are released, usually once a year.
